12 September 2024 - Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) has signed a five-year contract with Ocean Media Group, organiser of The Flooring Show, which will bring the trade show back to the spa town every year until 2029. The UK’s largest event dedicated to the flooring industry, The Flooring Show is one of the six large-scale exhibitions taking place at the venue this autumn.

Coming up on 15-17 September just a week after Bridal Week Harrogate, the 62nd edition of The Flooring Show—the UK’s largest event dedicated to the flooring industry—is set to be its largest event to date, taking over six halls including the addition of Hall Q, with a 30% expansion on the previous year. This major growth underscores the thriving flooring sector and reinforces the show’s status as the UK’s premier flooring trade event.

The Flooring Show is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors and hundreds of exhibitors.

Featuring more than 400 UK and international brands as well as a stellar line-up of demonstrations and product presentations, the upcoming event is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors including retailers, contractors, distributors, fitters, interior designers and developers, generating an estimated economic impact of £450,000 on the spa town.

Alex Butler, Group Exhibition Director, Ocean Media Group, says: “Harrogate is firmly cemented as the home of flooring, so we’re delighted to commit to another five years at HCC. The Flooring Show has grown by 25% since 2019, so we’re excited to see what the next five years hold for us. This year sees the exhibition expand into Hall Q which has added even more reasons for visitors to attend the show with new features and more stands than ever before. The central location of HCC is so unique, and it’s one of the main reasons why the flooring industry returns year after year. Our clients use so many of the restaurants and bars to conduct business after the exhibition has closed its doors.”

Paula Lorimer, Director at Harrogate Convention Centre, said: “Over the years The Flooring Show has grown immensely and so has the relationship and mutual understanding between our venue and the show. With a central location accessible from all big cities in the UK, excellent public transport links, a charming spa heritage as well as superb venue facilities and expertise, Harrogate remains a premier exhibition destination in the North and organisers see value in our offering. We look forward to welcoming The Flooring Show to Harrogate for many years to come.”
